hi guys

i bought my sapphire hd 4890 4 days ago , my problem is having high temp even when im not running anything

temperature about 62-64c , and i didn't do any overclocking and the fan speed 27% so is this normal or not???

and y gpu clock value keep changing btw 240 and 850???

That's the normal temperature for me.

I believe the changing clock values result from Ati's new technology that lowers the GPU clock when the GPU is idle to conserve energy and reduce heat.

As for your heat issue, you could try bumping up your fan speed a bit to see if it helps.

Not really sure as to best and safest your best bet would be to google it I guess.

63c idle is pretty darn good for 27% fan speed.

If you do want to increase the fan speed, download Rivatuner. But GPUs are designed to get hotter than CPUs...anything up to 90-100 C is fine.
