So, i was planning on upgrading to a 560ti when i saw a 6950 for about 10 bucks less. I honestly dont know much about computers in general, but i would like to know, which GPU is better?

6950 2gb sapphire toxic, its faster than the 570 gtx out of the box in games NOT sponsored by nvidia. It can be flashed to a 6970 easily, all you have to do is change the switch on the bottom of the card to 6970 and you're done. Also it overclocks to godlike speeds and comes close to a 580 gtx, i kid you not. It costs $270, comes with 2 games as well (deus ex and dirt 3)

Wow.....not bad...at all
EDIT: Wow, i was so impressed that i think im going to get it, lol
EDIT 2: Is this what you are talking about?
So it this good?6950 is the best bang for the buck if you can get an unlockable one with good OC ability. Most 560 Ti(s) already have good OC ability. Also, the sapphire toxic 6950 will only beat reference 570s, not any of the good ones.

Uh...im confuzedWell you can't flash it to a 6970, but it should be fine if you aren't interested in that.

There are some 6950s that can be unlocked to 6970s.
Oh, well im too stupid to do that so im fine :PHmm...maybe. Ive never bought anything from newegg, and the other things im getting are from amazonIf you arent going to look for a card to unlock then I suggest getting this.

Huge factory overclock and still has room to overclock even more. Performs better then 6950s.

Err, not trying to seem rude, but do they sell it on amazon? i say this because i am buying a few other things on there while i buy a new GPU, and it is somewhat easier to do with only one website.

The hawk, best factory overclock. If you get it from newegg it's 240 after rebate and free shipping. Depending on where you live, there might be no tax.
I would go with the 6950 cause it has the free game and 2gb of ram. If you ever decide to crossfire it and go eyefinity the 2gb of ram will help loads with textures and crap like that. Serial-No_3404Well, im not going to do either, plus i already have deus ex (it is redeemed through steam, so i doubt i would get the second copy)
Yeah, but i still dont prefer using new egg because of the other things im buying. If you get either the Nvidia cards on newegg, you get a free copy of Batman Arkham City, so theres that.

i haven't hyped it up at all, the reviews clearly state that any game that is not sponsored by nvidia, the 6950 2gb toxic does better than the 570 gtx in. The 570 gtx >> 560 ti, which means the 6950 2gb toxic >>>> 560 ti

It beats reference on some games when its in 6950 mode. A non reference PCB 570 will beat that card.

all 4 games not sponsored by nvidia, the 6950 toxic beats the 570 gtx. In games that ARE sponsored by nvidia, the 570 DOES do better, i will admit that.
Newegg is a great site if you decide to use it. And you get better deals with the 560ti cards via newegg cause it includes the Batman game (I've never played it). I'm going to be buying a monitor from newegg maybe tonight and pick it up from the warehouse cause it's like 3 minutes from my place. Serial-No_3404Well im planning on getting the hawk, and for some reason neither website has a free game/cheaper price
How about I throw in a few more cards to make it all the more confusing for TC? :P

This seems like really good value to me. You get an insane looking cooler and a huge factory overclock, if you are not planning to play in super resolution I believe 1GB VRAM will last you a long time.
If you are willing to overclock yourself then you can also consider this card.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127594
One of the best coolers around willl ensure you are able to overclock easily, dont pay for the clocks it's the cooler that matters.
6950 is slightly more powerful than the 560 Ti but you lose physx and custom game profiles so the choice is yours.

Hmm..im planning on buying the hawk (see the first page) so i think...im good? kris9031998Ya I guess $20 are not too bad for that sort of an overclock, you wont have to bother running an overclocking program in the background and wont have to do any stability testing etc so I say just go for the hawk, it's one of the best 560 cards if not the best.
