How will 5870x2, which comes out next month, perform compared with two 5870's. Will it also come with the Dirt 2 coupon.

i think an x2 would be better than two seperate cards. dual gpu cards tend to perform a bit better than two single gpu cards. you probably will only need the 5870, not a 5870x2 of 2 5870s. there isn't anything out there that even needs one of these cards, let alone two (or two in one)

I have a sapphire 5870 on the way, and tbh a dual cardor 2 seperate cards perform basically the same way. Plus you can use software to voltmod the card and overclock the core past 1ghz on the stock cooler..

2 are as good as an X2.

2 cards will probably be better, because they probably will have more vram than the x2. Thinking of the 5870x2 makes me feel fuzzy inside :) I just hope it has 4 video out connections like the 5870, because they might have to take it out due to the heat.

Would a x2 card have any limitations due to the bandwidth limits of the PCI-e x16 slot?
