Hey,

Just wondering which is the best bang for buck. I intend to upgrade the GPU around Xmas, so what do you reckon will last me. I generally play BF2, CS: S, HL2, GMOD, COH.

If you want it to last then get the 8600GT. DX10 is the future so best to jump aboard.

Why not just spend a little extra and get a 8800gts?The performance difference between that and the 8600gt is pretty big.

Well if its just to hold you over till xmas thenI would get the 7600gt,you can get them dirt cheap now ,and in the mean time you could save up for a good DX10 card.

Not only dirt cheap, but it will certainly handle all the games he listed with reckless aplomb.

Cheaper? I hear guys here buy 8600GT for 115$. And 8600GT is certainly stronger than 7600GT.

Yea, I would spend a little more and go for the 8600GT. While it may cost a little more, it's much better than the 7600.

8600GT if you can afford it.

If you want to save $$$ get the 7600GT.

Either way they're both good cards.
