Im not sure if you are being serious.. :?
But no, dont get it. A ATI 2600XT is like $70, and much bettter better.
i found this in a shop, XFX 8400GS 1 gig memory, for 70$, is it worth it, i mean that's unbelievable for that price, that's more than the 4870 memory wise.NaelNaelJust because it's in the GeForce 8 series, doesn't mean it's better. The more important it's the second number. Exemple: 7900 series are better then the 8400 series. Same for ATI Radeon cards.
more memory and one huge pile of junk. memory means nothing, its all marketing. a 256mb 9600gt will destory it. the gpu is what you want to look at and the 8400gs is not much good for new games, yeah it will run them but on low settings @ 800 x 600. DO NOT BUY IT YOU ARE THROWING MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN
for gaming don't buy a card below a 6. x2xx/x4xx are junk for gaming and thr x6xx are for moderate gaming and x8xx/x9xx are for serious gaming
Wow. I can't believe they made a 8400gs with 1 gig of memory.
The 8400gs isn't really a gaming card. It'll play most stuff on the lowest possible settings, but crank up the details and prepare to wait a long time between frames.
Kinda funny how the guy asked a simple question and received a couple of flames. :|
I mean, sure it's a misleading title, but if it wasn't so misleading, this thread would just float away along with the endless ocean of unanswered threads.

Flaming... Just like this.
Still, I have to admit. That's a funny pic. :P

LOLOLOLOL
no, just no.
how does 1gig memory make it better?
it has a 64bit bus and its probs ddr2/gddr2... 4870, 256bit bus, gddr5
also its not a gaming card, period. for $70 you should at least be able to get an 8600gt which will absolutely dominate that poor excuse of a card
