LOL man this topic is funny!

So... basically the OP is trying to say that his $800+ card outperforms a $250 card? Man can you believe that!? That's incredible!! That's unheard of!

Well have fun with your card that will be only marginally better than the 8800GT while I can buy an 8800GT and used that extra $550+ for games, upgrades, etc. lolz

This is MADNESS!

Madness? THIS IS HARDWARE DISCUSSION!

But seriously, 100% true,. GTX/Ultra got owned in the face with a pandas nose.

[QUOTE="Mr_NoName111"]I really have no idea why Nvida would do this.. If the reviews of the 8800GT are true, then all of their Ultras and GTXs will not sell, and will have to drop in price.does it make senseto anyone?musclesforcier

The GTX was released a year ago! It is only a matter of time before it becomes obsolete just like everyother top-of-the-line card in the past.

But the thing is, the GTX and the Ultra are NOT being discontinued. Plus, why would they sell the GT for so little when it performs almost as well as a GTX, especially when ATI has nothing out that can compete against it. I'm skeptical as to the validity of the review.

I heard there is Dx10.1 which will cut Dx10 cards, and that includes all current G80's. If you look around at the chinese review, you can find Dx10.1 in of the topics in english. So I am guessing that is what they are doing. Selling a fantastic card for nothing to replace the others as soon possible.

My 8800 ultra's clocks are at 674/1783/1148

8800 GT can't compete with that

PSTriple4life

lol your funny, u do know ultra costs like £100 more than the GTX and is maybe 5% (if your lucky) faster over the GTX?.. waste of money, not worth the not noticeable framerate increase

GT doesnt perform as good as a GTX.. there is actually 20-30 FPS difference in many games if you look at benchmarks, that is quite a difference.

All these people that think that DX10.1 will make DX10 extinct cards.... LOL! DX10 will be capable of running DX10.1. The only thing that it can't run is shader 4.1. When shader 4.1 games come out the DX10 cards will still be able to run it, but by the time we get to shader 4.1 the 8series will be the equivilent of my laptops' cheap, integrated gpu.
