Who out there has 8800gtx in sli? And could you tell me your power supply? I have a Antec 650 trio w/ 3 rails if that helps...and was thinking of putting a second card in, and wanted REAL world performance from REAL USERS.

you would be best to go check out some kind of a power requirements tester online. I mean nvidia will tell you one thing about what power supply you should have but in reality what they tell you you need is way overblown.

I would say if all you are running is 1 or 2 hardrives, a few fans 1 dvd rom and the two 8800GTX's u would probably be ok as long as your amps on the power supply meet the requirements of the two video cards (probably like 50 amps) ..... now if you are running like a liquid cooling kit, with 4 hard drives setup in Raid with all the trimings in the case you will need a much higher wattage psu.

The 8800GTX in sli requires in the mid to high 30s when it comes to amps(you have 52) but the problem is pci xpress connectors, You only have 2x6pin and your going to need just that for a single one so if you get two 8800gtx, your going to be 2 connectors short.

You can always get adapters to go from 4 pin to PCI-Express

Yeah but trusting 4x molex cable with the job of powering 150w of power is a very bad idea.

Well they have ones where you connect it to 2 4pin molex cables, so maybe that will be a bit better. I'm not sure since I've never had that problem, but it's a suggestion, since a 700W PSU can put a dent in your wallet.

Yeah when I mean't 4x molex I mean't 2x molex for each 6pin connector which is 75w each and he'd need two more. Either way most users defiently don't recommened it and even video card companies don't recommend it either.

Specs wise its more than enough but its up to him to decide if he wants to risk running 150w on molex adapters since he doesn't have enough pci xpress connectors.
