I can get a XFX Geforce 8800 ultra 768mb DDR3 for 200$ , is this a good deal?
Also where does the 8800ultra scale against all the other cards ( such as 8800gts/8800gt/280gtx and ect.)
appreciate any help

the 8800 ultra does not beat the 8800gt ocx... the ocx is actually faster, but the 8800 ultra has more ram, and the 4850 does not beat it either., it is in the same league and on some games better, some games worse, but actually beat umm no, same for the 4870 as well.I think the HD4850 beats the 8800 ultra and its cheaper too
EDIT: The ultra beats the other '8800s' , but the GTX280 beats it, but i woudnt bother with it, its too expensive for now.

[QUOTE="Acez626"]so do you think im getting a good price for 200$?Sordidus
For that price you should get a HD4850 or a 9800GTX+
hmm its really preference just i wouldnt recommend getting any kind of X2 or GX2 card with multiple GPU on one card. other than that, its your choice.[QUOTE="Lach0121"]the 8800 ultra does not beat the 8800gt ocx... the ocx is actually faster, but the 8800 ultra has more ram domke13
Ultra is easily faster then any kind of 8800GT.
yeah i know sorry i was confusing the 8800 ultra for the 8800 gtx... which the 8800gt ocx will outpreform...[QUOTE="domke13"][QUOTE="Lach0121"]the 8800 ultra does not beat the 8800gt ocx... the ocx is actually faster, but the 8800 ultra has more ram Lach0121

actually BFG disagrees... but hey no need to argue here.[QUOTE="domke13"][QUOTE="Lach0121"][QUOTE="domke13"][QUOTE="Lach0121"]the 8800 ultra does not beat the 8800gt ocx... the ocx is actually faster, but the 8800 ultra has more ram Lach0121

actually BFG disagrees... but hey no need to argue here.Does BFG have any benchmarks to back that up? Cause that is BS. And even if by some chance it would outperform it, that is an OC'ed 8800GT, you don't think the 8800GTX/Ultra can be OC'ed also?
You do realize that the 8800Ultra is a 8800GTX just with higher clock speeds right?

not sure if they do or not.. dont know, dont work there, im just telling you what they said, either way... to the TC any of the 8800 series of GPU would be a good buy for now..Please Log In to post.
