Hey I got the GTS (G92) its better then the 8800GT however if you dont want to buy the GTS which I would recommend if you think the GT is enough for you then go for it. Im going to presume both being G92 both can be overclocked extremely.

My 8800GTS is highly overclocked & is a great card even with just the stock cooler but it depends how much money you want to spend.

IF you are talking about 30$ only then definilty go wit hthe GTS without doubts. The 2 slot cooler is the main reason because it will give you better temps, quieter and finally will give you more space to get higher clocks because of the low temps

Dont get this because its only 256mb, IF IT were 512mb but with lower clocks then you can get it and use RivaTuner to OC your card.

Ofcourse. If you have any wills to upgrade later to one of the 9 series in 3 mths, then get eVGA and use their Step-Up program (assuming that you live in US). Otherwise, either if you dont live in US or you dont want to upgrade, XFX, eVGA and BFG are the top for nvidia cards

YES!!!!! $20 is nothing compared to difference between the two cards, no I dont have the XFX one but its the same GTS with stock speed not a overclocked one but its a great card you will LOVE it the temps are around 45c on idle which for some cards are water-cooled temps

They are the same price after the mail-in-rebate on the GTS, much more worth it for $20 anyway. The GT is $50+ overpriced, paying that much for 40mhz core and 50mhz memory oc lol.

I already said and everybody here did as well, Get the GTS if we are talking only for 20$ difference. When it was released the difference was around 100~120$ so it was like...(I'll leave it to you to fill the blank) but now its different case.

Heh... it's kinda sad what these manufacturers are doing.... They factory overclock the card and charge you for it.... and then newegg has 2 more cards of the same card... but it comes with COH that you are really paying an extra 30 dollars for. How much is "Company of Heros", anyway? Let me check... http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=647163. ROFLOL.... it's 20 bucks...

Same card... different clock speeds.... 20 dollar difference in price....

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150274 overclocked, minus the not so free game $269

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150273 standard clock, minus the not so free game. $249

Oh boy...these come with a *free* ($19.99) game, for *30 bucks*.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150254 $299 factory overclocked...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150253 $279 standard clocked.

Anyway given the above... you didn't compare fairly... should have been comparing the $249 ($230 after rebate) GT one to the $299 (280 after rebate) GTX. 50 dollar difference (in cases of rebate, too) between the two cards.... not 20 ($0 after rebate).
