9/11 world of warcraft patch

I am having troubles downloading the WoW patch v3.0 the background downloader has been a 0 for hours now. so i tried a few mirror sites, some didnt work but file front did allow me to download and extract the file. so as i go to run the patch to install it, it says windows doesnt recognize this type of file.

Can someone help me instal this patch? thank you

I had the same problem, I went:

View -> Preferances -> [Tick] Don't throttle background preformance.

And it slowly started to download. I've finally finished it after three days of downloading at very slow speeds. There will be more uploaders when the patch actually goes live so you should have less problems then.
