I like it. The new layouts are pretty cool, but the sounds are what I like the most... I might actually keep them on this time... It is a little slow, but it's not too bad for me at least.
I think it's pretty bad looking. The old design was also pretty ugly, but plain and therefore never really offended me. It's one of those cases where, because they tried to make it look nice and I think it's ugly, it looks even uglier. I also don't like them getting rid of the mini-games list. I did a quick check on memory usage- its roughly the same as before, but it's a few mb higher than if you are using the steam overlay on a non-steam game. Since I think it's ugly and it's buggy and slow (it's a beta, I know), I'm reverting to the old one.
Where? I'm not seeing them anywhere. That would be awesome, though. Yeah we have HL2 achievements but you can't view them, it takes you straight to your profile.

You could move your steamapps folder to somewhere else on your hdd, uninstall, then reinstall, and copy them back.
Its much slower, It started redownloading 2 of my games, and it does not have icons.

Don't jump to conclusions people, learn to use it first.
For the guy that didn't want to see uninstalled games, why do you want see them? just select favorites or installed, not all games, as for your problem try seeing the games in "list" not details or even grid.
I personally love it, the speed is just overwhelming compared to the old Steam, it's like it doesn't even use IE anymore :).

common fix: go to http://store.steampowered.com/uiupdate/ through a web browser and click "Click to take part in beta". Accept application use of Steam, and it should work after.
