Hey Guys,

So I'm sort of in a decision making process, and I require your opinions!

Exhibition A:

I spend all the money I've saved up on a 3d monitor (LG D2342P), Then wait another month and spend the same amount on a G27.

Exhibition B:

Instead of spending all of my saving on a monitor, I could split it in half and get a 23" 1080p Monitor coupled with a Driving Force GT. Then buy something else next month.. like a Nexus 7.

^ I'm liking option A at the moment.

Your PC needs to be upgraded, first.

G27 looks awesome if you're serious about racing games. i never understood the appeal of 3d monitors though. like the other poster said i would look into core component upgrades if you really want to spend and your sig is still up to date (more ram, a cpu and gpu upgrade).

This, that E6600 and that 8800GTX have got to go before you want to think about driving anything 1080P, or even 3D for that matter.

The G27 is a great wheel, and will work regardless of your spec. A 3D monitor on the other hand probably isn't going to be that great for you considering the spec of your PC - get a decent 23/24" monitor, the G27, and put the rest towards future PC upgrades.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm sorry but I've haven't logged in a while.. the system in my sig is old news.. Anyways I've updated my sig.

Alright let me clearify a bit. Basically I'm going to watch 3D content alot more on my pc, which is why I was considering a 3DTV, the steering wheel will be used on my PS3 for now.. another thing is that the monitor I'm getting is a passive display. Does that also mean I won't be dependent on Nvidia Vision for 3D gaming?

You need a 120Hz 3D Vision ready display for 3D gaming on PC. I wouldn't let 3D PC gaming effect your decision as the 525M isn't powerful enough for that.

3d is a gimmick, its good once in a while say in movie theatres and such but doing it everyday takes strains the eyes too much. 3d is a stepping stone to virtual reality hopefully available in the next 10 years or so. Most people here will advise you to skip the 3d and go for a regular monitor.

It's actually pretty awesome if you have a good 3d setup. But tc don't plan on gaming in 3d on that display with that gpu, as for watching stuff in 3d I believe you still might need the nvidia 3d stuff anyways because it has a IR transmitter that your gpu has to use to send the signal out, also I believe there is an installation disc for special software you need to use
