A choice that could potentially change my gaming life.

Hey Guys,

So I'm sort of in a decision making process, and I require your opinions!

Exhibition A:

I spend all the money I've saved up on a 3d monitor (LG D2342P), Then wait another month and spend the same amount on a G27.

Exhibition B:

Instead of spending all of my saving on a monitor, I could split it in half and get a 23" 1080p Monitor coupled with a Driving Force GT. Then buy something else next month.. like a Nexus 7.

G27 looks awesome if you're serious about racing games. i never understood the appeal of 3d monitors though. like the other poster said i would look into core component upgrades if you really want to spend and your sig is still up to date (more ram, a cpu and gpu upgrade).

Basically I'm going to watch 3D content alot more on my pc, which is why I was considering a 3DTV, the steering wheel will be used on my PS3 for now.. another thing is that the monitor I'm getting is a passive display. Does that also mean I won't be dependent on Nvidia Vision for 3D gaming?

3d is a gimmick, its good once in a while say in movie theatres and such but doing it everyday takes strains the eyes too much. 3d is a stepping stone to virtual reality hopefully available in the next 10 years or so. Most people here will advise you to skip the 3d and go for a regular monitor.
