Are Dual nVidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB worth $300 more than the above cards?

What's the deal withthe AGEIA® PhysX® physics accelerator? Pros and Cons? Is it worth an extra $160?

8800GT's are much better than a 2600XT!

2x8800GT's for $300 seems like a good deal to me!

With AGEIA physics processors they benefit some games but they are by no means needed. Some special levels that have been built for UT3 that benefit a lot from a PPU due to them having crazy amounts of moving objects...but really they are not essential.

Also, Intel® Core™2 E8500 (6MB,3.16 GHz, 1333FSB) is better than Intel® Core™2 Q6600 Quad-Core (8MB L2 cache,2.40GHz,1066FSB), right? But is it $100 better?

Both are more than enough for modern games!

Quad cores will have more life though than any duel core cpu!

Its not really an ivestment if it costs the same as an E8400!

Also when quad cores are being used in most games better quads will be out,,,but we cant say yet whether a Q6600 will be unusable. Either way a Q6600 isguaranteedto last longer thus save you money on when you next NEED to upgrade.

True but a processor is not something you change every 1-2 years like a vga or ram unless your a hardcore gamer and probably a quad core is gonna be a better choise is gonna last longer
