alright so i want to overclock my cpu (955), but i dont feel safe doing it with a stock cooler because it gets near the 60s when i try and the max safe temp is 62. also the area around my computer is warm anyway (it's pretty confined and dust gets there easily) so it gets warm on idle (like 43-45) on stock voltages and settings
so i decided i want to buy an aftermarket cooler.noise isn't a huge factor as much as cooling is, even though a silent cooler would be nice
i was looking at the
scythe mugen2
cooler master v8
zalman 9700
i would like the v8, but its mass is .87kg and so is the scythe while the zalman is .76 kg which seems a lot safer, however is about 20 bucks more than the cooler master and 30 more than the scythe.
like i said i am leaning towards the cooler master, however is does have a lot of mass which does concern me.
what do you guys think? also anyother suggestions would be nice, preferably ones that weigh less and offer similar performance
thanx in advance
