well, you don't mention what games you've been looking forward to :) So far both FarCry 2 and Fallout 3 have been great games. Mercs 2 was something of a letdown though.
Only one Ive been waiting on is starcraft2, make me an ectatic man blizard. did it work?, again the powers that be send me no sighn. I curse you developers, complete the game still, my curse still stands(unless it interferes with the completion of the game), then my curse is all powerfull aslong as long it results in increased productivity, if not ''THEN YOU SHALL SEE MY WHATH"", um this wont effect any neaded purchase, ''BECAUSE I AM ALL POWERFULL'', no realy $60 for the game, '' CHARGE ME ANY MORE AND DOOM", I tell you, thats just fun acting like doom,"WAT YOUSAY".
no i am not disappointed. that's because i don't hype games too much. as for spore, i really enjoyed the game. it was truly unique and great. even my friends enjoyed it so much. But of course, all of us were not hyping this game too much.
Exact opposite for me, alot of surprising games this year for me. Sins, Farcry2, Fallout3 (which i thought would be pretty bad) and Crysis Wars (Warheads online) was alot better then i expected.
Its easy to look back on the previous years with a nostalgic (sp?) mindset, but I gotta be honest...PC gaming has only gotten better. Multiplatform titles are better optimized for PC as well, which is great, because for a while we were really getting the shaft.
