A problem with my laptop!

Well my laptop has been lagging and freezing a lot. it still happens even after I do system restore. my laptop is an i7 Windows 7 laptop. Any ideas on how i should fix this?

Gonna need a bit of info like when does it lag or freeze, does it feel too hot when that happens?

could it be an application that is causing the problem?

backup your data and recover or reset the laptop to factory default settings.

they should have given you a recovery disc, use that

Check temperatures for overheating. Virus check too etc.

I did restore the laptp to factory setting. Also, it lags and freezes at random times. Like it would work fro a while then suddenly it just happens. I really don't know what to do with this thing. I had similar issues with my last laptop.

sounds like a heat issue or a failing hard drive

As i said, check temperatures. Try a program like HWmonitor.
