A Samurai-like Strategy

There is a game that I used to play. It was at a friends house. It was an RTS-type game with Samurai. It would be a few years old now (7ish years old). From what I remember, you can make small groups of samurai warriors with different abilities to fight in small skirmish battles. From what I remember, you did have to build buildings to train other types of warriors as well.

Can anyone help me with this? I've tried looking and haven't found it yet. Thank you.

I remember playing Shogun, and it seemed to be too large of armies battling for my tastes. However, I appreciate the advice. Metakit5

It looks like battle realms. if you could ride horses or use water to grow rice then its battle realms
