If you have a speaker but the game you play doesn't let you do online voice chat with say clan members, I think there is now a way to do that! This program called Ventrilo, it does voice over ip. My friend made a server on it, so now I can talk to him and anyone else that downloads the program. Quality is VERY GOOD, and even if you are in a game, it still works. So say if you were in a clan, you could all get in the same channel/section and talk to each other. Has anyone else heard of this program or used it before?

Ventrilo is extremely popular and pretty much nearly every single PC gamer knows about it. I prefer Teamspeak though. It's a lot easier to host, is easier on the bandwidth, and isn't as easy to exploit. If you have someone who knows how to use an Auto Mouse Clicker, they can clear out your ventrilo server easily.

yeah vent has been out for a while. The quality depends on the server you are on though, as quality=+money. Xfire has better sound quality though imo.

I've used the regular voip on Xfire but never tried making a group chat and even on the 1on1 voip the latency is quite noticeable. But i guess on a dedicated server it should run fine.
