Greg Kasavin reviewed WoW. He was a much better reviewer than anybody else that's on this website now.
I haven't read the AoC review, but if it's considered the best MMO ever, then some other things that brought it down. Supposedly there's very little PvE content after lv. 60 and such. Reviews are usually scaled by the standards at the time it was released.
You know AoC doesn't actually have any end game at the moment right? I'm surprised it got higher than 7.5. Theres also close to no quests after 40. death1505921
You are wrong.. Between Field of the Dead and Noble District there's a ton of quests.. I think its mainly after level 60 that the PvE content gets a bit thinner. We have people in my guild that are 50+ (and one that is level 80) and the level 80 said that for him it got a bit more difficult at 60+ because of the lack of quests.. As far as endgame, a lot of this game is based around PvP and the PvP sieges will be what most will go after.. I remember reading somewhere that for every PvE/Raid gear there is a PvP equivalent too.. I don't think PvP experience is in the game yet, but it will be within a month or so I'm guessing.
As far as unbalanced, it is not balanced around lower levels, the game was balanced around level 80.. But for lower levels its a general one class has a bit of an advantage over another but at the same time it is at a disadvantage towards a different class also.
and whats up with those server problems, will they be fixed?cause im getting the game soon so..:D...davor_25
What server problems are you talking about? Sad thing is, these servers are based farther away than my WoW server was and I get much better latency in AoC than I did in WoW.

People expect too much from an MMORPG that was just released. World of Warcraft didn't have Battlegrounds when it was first released, and it didn't have Arena until Burning Crusade was released.
ive heard they have some lag problems i dunno...and how long does it take to go up to lvl 80?wow is out only for like 2 weeks and you guys are already lvl 80 wth? i mean that cool, you finish with a character and start with other one again, but...
how long does it take to lvl up to 80
Every once in a while the lag will spike up real high and go down within a minute.. Only about three times since I have been playing have I been booted out of an instance cause it lagged too much..
As far as the bots, Funcom takes the exploiters and such very seriously. As soon as the game went live they started banning accounts for those that were exploiting the game. As far as hours to get to 80.. They said about 250 hours, I THINK (and don't quote me) that the first person to hit lvl 80 spent about 88-90 hours (practically blowing through the content and not experiencing anything.. his loss..)
Just buy the game.. Try and save up money too so you can upgrade and play it at high settings.. The game is absolutely gorgeous at max settings with distances maxxed. I stood up on top of a semi-short mountain and looked over the land and it was breathtaking.. They spent a lot of time on the graphics, combat and game-play of this game.. I highly recommend it to ANYONE wanting a fantasy pvp/mmo.
On a side note, the combat system is so fun that it doesn't feel repetitive and boring like WoW's combat..
I dont want to sound like a narc, but this thread was like, 7 pages down on the first page of the pc forum.

How would you sound like a narc? I would say the review is fair and gives room for improvement like when the bugs and balance get fixed.
