Atleast Rebellion was able to release the game, zombie studios however, were working on the game for 5 years till they drop the game and bethesda hired Rebellion to finish the game.No idea... After Rebellion released Rogue Trooper my hopes aren't high for AvP.

Their AvP games are just fine imo.Rebellion has a terrible game record. I would stick with Bad Company 2 just to be safe....

[QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]Their AvP games are just fine imo. Didn't they only make the first one? i.e not the 2nd one which was a lot better. That was also a loong time ago. Their large stack of medicore/average games should tell you that they aren't very goodRebellion has a terrible game record. I would stick with Bad Company 2 just to be safe....

The same applies to saying a game will be great becasue of the company.Rebellion has a terrible game record. I would stick with Bad Company 2 just to be safe....

Both look promising. The preorder is so far in advance from release, there is plenty of time to save some money and get both. I don't understand the concept of people buying a game a month or 2 before release? Last night I preordered Mass Effect 2, only because the deadline said 3 days till release.
Rather have the money sitting in the bank geting some interest in that time.
I'm personally getting both but if it came down to just 1 choice I'd just flip a coin ;)

What this man said. I've been avidly researching the development of these two for the last month and honestly both are very different from each other and offer some intense quality single and multiplayer choices that are totally unique in the FPS genre. I've pre-ordered both and expect to only purchase Starcraft 2 after that for years of gaming pleasure.
If ya had to choose only one then I'd decide based on what YOU want from a FPS.
BFBC2: Contemporary, asymmetric, military class based combat; destructible sandbox gameplay with and without vehicular combat; squad and mission objective based; far more realistic portrayal of ballistics with a heavy reliance on good communication to succeed.
AvP: Sci-Fi/Horror and corridor/small map, asymmetric "infantry" only combat, highly unique classes that have zero gameplay overlap, potential for Starcraft levels of asymmetrical tactics, L4D style mode called "Survival" that might be as fun as the normal TD.
Both games are highly atmospheric, have high budget singleplayer campaigns, and both have a renowned history of excellent long lasting online communities.....
So choose, choooose and perish......;)
IF both games turn out to be good, I'll be all over AVP. We've seen a billion military FPS games in recent years. AVP would really be great. I still think BC2 will be great and I want to get it, but AVP just looks like a lot of fun.
Bc2 no contest..Shadowhawk000Agreed the game looks epic on the ps3... I can only imagine it on the pc!
It depends on your tastes as a gamer if you are more into single player games then I would go AVP but on the other hand if multiplayer is more your taste then I would go BFBC2. I'm guessing that AVP will have about 2 weeks playability wheras BFBC2 will have a much longer apeal.RedDanDoc
No way dude. People were playing Avp 1 and AvP2 for years after their releases specifically for its robust multi-player modes. And to all those who think rebellion Sucks,THE OXFORD TEAM WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ROGUE WARRIOR!
I'm getting both but if I had to pick I would choose AvP. I'm not a huge BF fan but I do play 2142 from time to time.spiderman120988Neither me, but judging by my experiance with the first game's singleplayer, i would say that its worth getting it even for the singleplayer alone.

I REAAAALLY hope AvP turns out to be awesome. If so I can see myself playing that for a long time. And 3-way multiplayer with marines, aliens, and predators would be awesome.zomglolcatsI pray it will be awesome. I try not to hype it as I will be crushed if it falls flat on its face.

I'm sure there is a community out there for AVP but I would have guessed that anything Battlefield is in a different league numbers wise thats just going on how popular BF2 is. Anyhow I'm getting both games so its win win win. Please Log In to post.
