Hi guys, this is yet another "will this PC be okay thread". I'm spending quite a bit of money here, but I want to build a good PC, here are the specs, please I would love opinions/critics in order to make it better.

Q6600 Quad 2.4 ghz

Asus P5k Deluxe

Corsair XMS2 2GB 800 DDR2

Corsair 750W Power Supply

Western Digital Raptor 150GB HDD 10,000 RPM SATA

Seagate Barracuda 500gb HDD 7,200 RPM

Cooler Master Cosmos Full Tower Case

Vista Ultimate 32bit

HD3870x2 (the minute it's out)

Thank you!

Hmmm I say that rig is very nice, I would get a different Intel CPU like the E8xxx or Q9xxx (when it's released) but that Q6600 is still really good.

Looks Good but I would change the WD to a samsung if you can. The spinpoint is a 7200rpm drive but it processes data as fast as the raptor. Are you building it yourself?

I'd swap out the quad core for a way faster dual core. Seeing how nothing even utilizes quad yet and won't for some time it would be better imo. Look at getting the Core 2 Duo E8400.

Thank you all for those nice suggestions I'll definitively take them into consideration, and yeah I'm building it myself.

I wouldn't get a samsung HDD. I have had my new pc for a bit over a month or so. And when i first got it i got a Samsung SATA II 250GB HDD and it died. It didn't even last a month.

My 2 cents for ya mate.

Im now cracking with a 320GB Western Digital SATA II and its great.

Seagate barracuders are also good drives. I've had this one for a good 3 years and only ever had one problem with it. And it was my own fault for turning the pc off at the plug instead of a proper shutdown.

Yeah that's why I'm going with the barracuda for storage, I've been using them for a couple of years and no problems.

Now I just need the hd3870x2 to be out NOW, somebody make it happen!
