Here ya go

It's an older link though, the conference hasn't started yet. That's where we'll get the news.

That is not a source for the next month claim. The quote is "later this year", anyone with a slight knowledge of how the industry works will know that that means Q4 or next year in case of delays. Please cease attention-whoring.

That link was for the claim that a new GPU was on the way. The July release date was rumored since April on various sites, which you can find if you google. I wasn't pulling it out of my ass, just repeating what I heard. And since the rumor obviously turned out to not be true, I changed the topic title and main post to reflect that which you would have seen had you bothered to read the thread name you were replying to. You need to chill out the **** out bro.

If you have the links why don't you post them? The best thing I can find is Semiaccurate with a guess of somewhere between July 2011 and July 2012, and a worry that fabs won't be able to deliverhttp://semiaccurate.com/2011/03/29/amds-southern-islands-tapes-out/

During AFDS, AMD has stated they will ship AMD's "Next GPU core" by the end of this year.

AMD Cayman at 28 nm would play a role like the Radeon HD 5770->6770 or 5870->6870.

[QUOTE="GTR12"]Its besides the point, the name is just hilarious. I dont care what the architecture itself does, Nvidia should one-up them and call it "Super Non-Very Instuction Word (SVLIW)" That would be awesome and just annoy the hell outta AMD.LordEC911

Except Nvidia doesn't have a vliw architecture...

omg, the architecture doesn't matter, I can call a architecture "the awesome bestest thing you have seen" when it doesn't do anything or exist, im commenting on stupid name. Non-Very Long Instruction Word, when the sentence/word/name is itself long...

Yes, except that the name does make sense.
