i have the first result from an hd 7770 done in 3dmark 11 scoring a healthy result of p3535 this was done with a core i5 2500k (stock). done with a core i7 neahelm a gtx 460 1gb HAWK ed. @ stock scores p3495 in 3d mark 11 assuming that this is about as good as a 460 1gb this should be a good show, but i probably wont be getting 1 after all. ill be sitting with my origional plan of CFX hd 5830

Looks like it will be the next bang for buck card. If it is priced at a sub 6850 pricepoint I'm certainly going to get one.

if the 6770 equivalent is now the 6850, the 6850 equivalent must now be a 6950.

so im guessing a GTX 560TI will destory it in games and benchmarks? GTX460 is old news now OFC AMD's new video cards would beat it.

EDIT: ah i see your comparing a similar price point. well if Nvidia drops the price of a 560 even a little bit there would be no point in buying a 7770 as the 560 TI (not the 448 core) significantly out performs it.

Also upon further searching the CPU was an i5 2500 (not sure if K didnt specify)

k but @ stock

id also like to point out that they plan on discontinuing the 560ti 224 core very soon so thatd be impossible :S much like they did the gtx 260 192 core ya know so i got 1 quesiton for you:

yes but there are alot of stock out there so they could still sell for the next year without supply problems and by then the 448 core would probably be around $200

you think to highly of nvidia's b-stock.. they probably have enough to last 1 major sell at the 3 big e-tailers (NCIX, tigerdirect/compusa & newegg). its just a simple fact of the matter that nvidia has a tough time moving even outstanding cards with the number 6 in em.. 9600gt, gtx 260, gtx 560 ti 224 core, 8600gt, gtx 465.. u noticing a pattern here?? heck they tried rebadging the 9600gt as a gt240 and it still didnt save it haha. as a result the loiter the shelves long past their relevancy XD

I have a hard time believing that. i know people who have bought every single card you listed past and present and they all liked them enough to not send them back for other cards. and i know ALOT of people about the GTX 465 because you could unlock the majority of them got GTX 470's. hell i was even considering getting a 560TI till they released the 448 core version and i was like OH AWESOME! But my point is there are still ALOT of regular 560 Ti's out there and if people do there research when buying in that price range they will see the 7770 and 560 TI. once they see the benchmarks they would be like "why would i even buy a 7770 when i can get almost double the performance for $20 more?"

if the gtx560ti is being discontinued, what is the near future replacement expected to be? I like to keep an eye out to replace an aging gtx275. I want a similar card with lower power draw. its currently not being tasked to badly by the cryengine 1 with Aion, but my GF who uses it will be switching to Terra later this year.

Terra runs UE3 so the 275 shoudl be fine...and keep in mind that in MMOs the CPU and the HDD are more important that the GPU. And if these guys optimise Terra like they did with Lineage 2...well, don't expect to get over 40 fps even on a server farm :P

Just for clarification for the amount of cores in the 560 line

560 vanilla has 336 cores

560 Ti has 384 cores

560 Ti 448 core has 448 cores.

There is nothing this gen that I am aware of that has 224 cores. (550 Ti has 192)

7770...I wonder if they'll keep the price at $100 like they do with most x770 cards. Im guessing though they'll price it at $180, the 7850 at $220 and finally the 7870 at $300. Hopefully im wrong about this.

I like the 7750 better. No 6-pin power cord needed and it's just a tiny bit weaker than the 460. That's some amazing performance/watt right there.

The 7750 is ALOT weaker than the 460. It's a bit worse than the 5770 in fact.
