For raw performance always get an Intel! Well for now at least.Daytona_178
That's not necessarily true, but in this case the E8400 will provide better gaming performance than the 9600. If you were to step up to the 9850 or the 9950 the story would be different.

Being a fanboy and ignoring the facts won't do you very well in the long run. A Phenom 9850 will obviously be outperformed by something like the Q9300 from intel, but the Q9300 also happens to be about ~$50 more expensive. That aren't really direct competitors because they fill different price points.

I didnt say price/performance,,,i just said for power Intel has the best selection!

You can't deny that Intel CPUs are better then AMD right now. Also a E8400 will beat a 9850/9950 in gaming anyday.
