so the latest i7 is better as in stronger and can handle a bigger load

no the latest i7s suck. Get an LGA 1366 i7 (if you can afford it) or a Phenom II. Yes SMC has a point here ;). You see the LGA 1366 socket interface is what the Core i9 will be running on early next year, so you see the LGA 1366 and AM3 interface are the most future proof at the moment ;). +1 for SMC and Ultimate :D
