Never played any of the Penumbra series...
But I loved Dead Space (scary)...
Are any of these two titles worth it?
Will they be my sort of game...?
Thanks

Short and sweet, what this guy said. Fantastic game, I simply can't recommend it enough. I was utterly floored, considering the fact I was expecting a mediocre indie title. Blown away. Get this.Amnesia was incredible. mind blowing.

I always play horror games like that, or else the effect is not there. Just like a scary movie, there is a difference between seeing it by urself at the cinema, or in bright daylight, on ur DVD with a bunch a friends. Not the same effect. I did get scared lots with Dead Space though..... I had to stop playing for a week....lol (I can see wetting myself with Amnesia)Dead Space isn't scary bro. Amnesia is thoe.

The Void, on the other hand, is...weird. I'm really enjoying it, even if my first attempt at it last night ended disastrously (it took me a little too long to realise that filling all of your hearts just kills you faster, and my colour trees were practically useless), but the game isn't for everyone. Check out the demo, if you can. It's sort of...hm...unlike anything else, really. It's all about careful resource management, fighting demonic things with brush-strokes, and feeding half-naked girls with colour.Planeforger
I recommend Amnesia as well.
The Void seems to be very interesting, but I also failed during my first attept. I will retry it soon, maybe with the modded easy mode:

It wasn't "OH CRAP I'M OUT OF AMMO", felt more like "Guess I'll have to replay from the last checkpoint, oh well". Game had just about no atmosphere for me.Dead Space isn't scary bro. Amnesia is fantastic. The Void, while having an extremely creative and unique concept, getsvery tedious towards the end.
Amensia is definitely worth it, the scariest game i ever played(and i played a ****load of Survival Horrors, silent hills, resident evils, clock towers, akuon etc). About the void it is not a scary game, but it is a very unique experience. I recommend both if you want to play quality games that aren't generic.Never played any of the Penumbra series...
