I can just imagine the letter sent to Techreport:

Dear Techreport,

The holidays are all about giving and we here at AMD, believe in that more than anyone. Of course, it helps when no one wants to buy your products, that's why we're giving you one of our GPU's for free! At AMD, we believe in achieving the best benchmarks possible. Sadly, this option isn't available with our current crop of mediocre CPU's, so we've decided to pair our GPU's up with our main competitor's CPU's--which incidentally, are kicking our teeth in right now. Please disregard the blatant and pathetic hypocrisy behind these requests and accept, attached with this email, a coupon granting half price off our most recent paperweight release: Piledriver. Works great, holding down loose pieces of paper better than its predeccesor! Can also double as a great skipping stone, allowing you to achieve parallel ripples in the water thanks to our dedication to giving you more useless cores!

Sincerely,

The Department of Incompetence AKA AMD Management

This has to be the biggest fail I've read in GS, trying to justify hate on AMD because they're not using their own Processor to test their new mobile GPU.

You have to be the most arrogant person I have ever come across on these forums. Why the mods haven't just totally banned you for your incessant trolling and constant flaming is beyond me. The senseless threads you post about the superiority of Intel over AMD have no value what so ever here. Have you thought for one moment that the percentage of people that build PC's or use laptops for gaming as opposed to all other PC functions is a fraction of the total use of AMD or Intel CPU's combined

Gamers are a vast minority compared to all other PC users of both AMD and Intel chips. Intel may be the better overall choice PC gamers (nothing wrong with running an AMD system if on a tighter budget) but when it comes to other uses either is fine. You seem to be one of the few that has a bug up your A** about this issue, when truth be told no one else really gives a rat's a** what you think...I don't...even though I'm replying back to this (another of you boring ponderous topics designed only to incense and inflame others) .......I felt I must in hope that someone here at GS will also say enough of your constant disrupting posts on a topic that promotes absolutely nothing.

I don't see why not, as dozens of people use Intel CPU's with AMD GPU's, or AMD CPU's with Nvidia.

God forbid people having to stick with INTEL's GMA only because they own a i3/i5/i7

There's no logic in alienating customers or create fictional borders for people, who might buy Your product to use with another's.

You could likewise blame Nvidia for running their GPU's on Intel, as they're also separate companies, or Apple for using Intel CPUs with AMD GPUs - what's wrong with that?

Other than that, why should I care what brand of GPU/CPU/RAM the other person use? I set requirements for what do I expect from a PC of mine and I buy stuff so I can do so. I had both Intel and AMD over the years, like Intel 286,486, Pentiums, Celerons, or AMD's K2, Durons, Semprons, Athlons and I can not tell a difference other than it's logo for starters. They both work as they should given their processing speeds.

Before Nvidia or ATI stepped up, there was 3DFX, which at the time was the king in 3D accelerated graphics and no one argued should it be used with Intel nor AMD, as there was no point back then as there is no point today.

Never had problems with neither, so again - what is the point? It's not a sports club or anything.. suggest You get outside and see what awesome graphics life can render..

From what I have seen AMD and Intel are almost exactly the same company. The only difference I have seen is that Intel has more super high end chipsets.

I guess they're exactly the same... if you count one as having revenues and yearly profits in the billions while the other hemorrhages cash faster than Usain Bolt runs the 100m.

well obviously intel cpus are much faster than amd ones, so they are used to showcase the true power of AMD gpu's. I have an AMD GPU, since its the best of the best, it is the highest quality and performance, but I would never go with their garbage cpu's. Their are plenty of companies that specialize in different products, where one product they sell is mediocre and the other is top notch. An example is Apple, they have some of the best phones and mp3 players out there, but their computers are utter trash.

It's good to see ATI's marketing team still runs Radeon HD GPU side i.e. notice the ATI logo on the cooling fans.

Useless Piledriver cores? Yeah right. Keep staring yourself blind at single-threaded workloads and keep exaggerating their awful overall performance.
