First off I love this game! The graphics are outstanding and I love everything about it. Apart from the fact I suck at it :P I just got it a couple of days ago and I'm finding some things difficult.

First thing is controlling the jets

Second is staying alive for more than 30 seconds

Do you guys have any noob tips for me?

Much appericiated!

I think there are some youtube tutorial vids on how to be good with jets in BF3. I only know the absolute basics, since I don't spend a lot of time with them. You should be able to find an empty server or one with low pop to practice with jets.. and there are some servers specifically set up to help ppl practice with aircraft.

Regarding staying alive, you really need to be aware of where you're going, where the enemy is or might be coming from, and just always stay on the move. Unless you have a really solid position and aren't too concerned about getting flanked, of course. You can do this with a combination of understanding the movement system, learning the basics of the map, seeing what points the enemy is in control of and constantly glancing at your minimap for spotted targets.

I think maneuverability is probably the key in being effective in conquest mode.

Join a squad and spawn on a squadmate. 2-3 guns firing at someone is much better than 1. Low crawl behind cover or sprint from cover to cover. Do not run out in the open. The game is not a run n gun style game, it is a tactical shooter. You have to play like you would if you were really there. Know your role. If you are a sniper, don't charge toward the front. If you are an engineer, take out that tank!

this is how i learned: 1. join a squad 2. pick a class that atleast one of the squadmates has chosen 3. spawn on that squadmate 4. hang around near him and do what he does 5. never forget to spot! i was absolutely abysmal at this game when i started despite having almost 200 hours of bad company 2 experience and thousands of hours of other shooters. i used to have the highest number of deaths in the game by far (20 and the next highest deaths being 11, for example) but i just kept playing, trying to keep an eye out to see what the good players were doing and see if i could do the same. i am almost always in the top half of the team scoreboard and have a few mvp 1,2,3 ribbons to show now, as well. still cant for the life of me figure out how to fly a jet properly. maybe it's just not my style.

Same principles apply to BF3, one of the best vids out there.

Watch gameplay vids and see how the people who owns u play. Robbaz king of sweden, funny swedish viking, just walks around with no strategy n yet he wins.

Theres also clayman90 who is a more serious player.

About jets and helis, use a joystick if u got one.. i've never been able to fly properly with mouse.

Unlock flares asap (u probly got em alrdy) and fly around the map just staying alive just for training and mastering the controls

This will help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_izvAbhExY&ob=av3e

Please forgive me
