Any mining games out there?

I always liked games where you could dig for loot and treasure, so I'm trying to find games that are like that. For instance, I just picked up Bejeweled 3 and it has a game mode called Diamond Mine that is pretty fun. I suppose Minecraft would be something to check out, but you really aren't mining for riches or gold, but harvesting to build.

Is there anything else out there that puts an emphasis on mining?

Given that the game has gold and diamonds, yeah, you could totally spend all your time mining for it.

If you are looking for resource management how about harvest moon? This only games with "mining" I can think of is lemmings, I know that the psp has a good version.

Dungeon Keeper/2 has mining, great game. You can build you own network of dungeons and rooms.

Motherload (flash game) is addictive mining fun too.

Miner Wars is in alpha but the team said that the game will feature having you able to create bases, harvest materials to probably upgrade your base or ship etc. more info at their website

I played the crap out of that game in middle school. Never got all the way to the bottom (didn't have Gold version), but probably spent around 30-40 hours. Considering I could only play for like 20 minutes on some days since I had no internet at home...yeah, I was kind of obsessed.

It's pretty simplistic by today's standards, and kinda ugly, but still really fun.
