Any news about price drops for cpu's, gpu's, mobo's?

Also, I am thinking of buying a new rig:: http://secure.newegg.com/Newversion/Shopping/shoppingcart.asp?submit=view

Is there anything I should change? Like the PSU...? I'm on a 1.2K budget, maybe 1.3K. Also, can anyone find me a good CD / DVD burner, because I'm not too bright in that area. If possible, a black one would be nice. And I also need a good monitor, CRT or LCD, I don't really care, preferably a 19" or higher for a low price.

Edit: Any news about when the 8900 series will be out?

The most popular price drop known is the Intel price drop of the quad core CPU from July 22nd.

More Intel based motherboards are coming out in the P35 chipset.

Good DVD burner? Unless you want some fancy LightScribe one, just get one from any brand like Pioneer, LG, Benq or whatever is cheaper.

Also, that link doesn't work, says empty cart.

I almost never suggest Tiger Direct, but they have a deal going right now on bundle: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz Socket 775 OEM Processor and a FREE XFX nForce 680i SLI NVIDIA Socket 775 ATX Motherboard (A+ Version) for only $499.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3189364&Sku=MBM-680I-Q6600

Not sure about the quality / overclockability of the motherboard, but you can google some reviews.

I guess Intel is cutting OEM prices to high volume dealers so they have time to get systems to market by July 22.
