I was playing VtMB, and trying not to post anything so that these guys wouldn't come to my home armed with torches and pitchforks.
So yeah, I hate Valve!!! Specifically VAC and their VAC **** sucking attitude of their.

Ah ha! We have found a group of people who hate Valve. Hackers who get VAC banned.
They're out there, it's just they don't have internet or their 56k connections couldn't make it to this thread.GodLovesDead
 Exactly. I actually have a friend that refuses to buy Valve games because they require Steam. His loss I guess.
[QUOTE="The_Capitalist"]People hate Monolith? Really? They gave us F.E.A.R. Why does anyone hate them?
DGFreak
It's probably because F.E.A.R. sucked and SOME PEOPLE can't understand why everyone loves it so much.
I'm no Monolith hater, however, as NOLF 1 and 2 are two of the best games out there even today.
Im not a monolith hater, but its kinda sad that Fear was the game that monolith got their most money from. Fear wasnt that special compared to monoliths legendary No one Lives Forever series and their AvP 2. Those games should have sequels, not the generic fear games.
I am wondering if any Valve haters exist... Blizzard has its haters, Bio-ware has its haters, Crytek has its haters, Relic has its haters, Monolith has its haters, but when it comes to Valve, I don't think there are any Valve haters.....gogators4life
Go onto the console boards for Team Fortress 2 (Orange Box) and read any of the threads asking for Valve to patch it - that's where you'll find your haters.
A PC gamer hating Valve would be like a Catholic hating God.UpInFlames
This is kind of thinking is why you don't hear much from the Valve/Steam "haters". It was made clear shortly after Half-Life 2 was released that even the slightest negative comments would result in immediate flaming that would make a super nova look like a static electricity spark.
Some people don't like the way that steam works, it's not having to be connected to the internet or technical problems like that, but just that you have to have it constantly running when you want to play a steam game and regester your games through it.[QUOTE="judog1"][QUOTE="nicknees93"]please elaborateAFBrat77
Hated Steam at first, but now that I have a faster system (disregard the specs in my Sig), I really think it works well. I also like many of the games available to buy. So I give a thumbs up to Steam at this point.
i dont mind steam. i think it works well. and i only have 2 games from steam at the moment. (tf2 and l4d demo).i dont mind steam. i think it works well. and i only have 2 games from steam at the moment. (tf2 and l4d demo).nicknees93
I had my frustrations with steam back when I had 56k a couple of years ago, when the games list was stuck on "scanning for steam game updates..." and I couldn't play anything while it was doing that. After I got ADSL though, that became a non-issue, and I don't mind Steam at all now.

Of course, I'm a hacker, that's why I got VAC banned, it couldn't possibly be because VAC made a mistake, no, VAC is perfect in every way and doesn't make any mistake.

One thing is for sure, you will never find any game reviewers that hate Valve.
Not a hater, but I do think Valve is overrated some.
HL1 was great, HL2 not so much, and cs, well to be fair they did not really make that game...
I do think theyre a good developer and I think theyre doing alot of good things for the PC community as a whole.

It's for the better, really.
