Anybody? Me and my buddies in my dorm hall have been having epic battles all week over LAN. Next Tuesday, can't wait.

While I haven't played the first one yet, I'm going to play the second one. I heard good things about it, so I'll probably pick it up around the first week or 2 of its release.

I really liked the first one. I'm gonna wait though and see how it does on release. If any of the epic scaling of battles is turned down then I will just keep to the first game.

I am adopting the philosophy of wait and watch here and see how it turns out (have doubts about the multiplatform release)

I'm doing what this guy is doing. I've got a few concerns, mainly just what the console version is like and how it will translate into SupCom2. Same thing with the lack of Flux economy and I believe(though its mostly hearsay so correct me if i'm wrong) the lack of engineering assist.

You guys do realize that SupCom 1 was on consoles too? Granted it sucked on consoles. Perhaps they made some compromises to get it to work better on consoles this time around, but I don't really know.

PC gamers always scream "gimp" or "dumb down" all the time, personally I find it sill that people that haven't played the game yet is complaining bout the game being dumb down.

The difference is supcom was designed for pc and developed with that in mind, the 360 version didn't come till later and it sucked. Really looking forward to this game myself but im worried that this being developed for console at the same time that it will have been oversimlifeid as is often the case lately. Also from the few maps ive seen they all look a hell of a lot smaller, hope they didn't kill the scale :(

In the case of RTSs, it's almost always true. There hasn't been one good RTS on console. The control scheme just doesn't work and they have to remove features until it's playable.

The 360 version of SupCom was announced at the same time as the PC game. It just didn't come out till like, a year after it.

Looking forward to it. Noticed Steam announced release data, unfortunately it looks like the game isn't going to be available in Australia. It keeps saying North America only.

My thoughts also....I have been playing SupCom since it's release back in '07 and FA after it came out...I really want SupCom 2 coming through as a success, but I do have reservations (Chris taylor seems to be involved in too many projects) ...to me it's looking more like DemiGod meets DoW II....I hope that's not the case.

Not sure if I will be buying it on release, unless I can pick it up cheap (still have SoaSE trinity, Heavy Rain and Stalker CoP to buy). However I am looking forward to it. Not completely sure about it compared to Sup Com 1 though.... while I like the streamlining, I am curious to see if its still as tactically dense, and has the same scale. To be perfectly honest multiplatform development has made be mildly weary of potential changes.
