anyone get la noire?

I've played the game on console, sold it, and rebought it on the PC. While it's not the best of ports, I think it's miles better than the GTA4 port. The game is stable, controls well, and bearing the 30FPS framerate cap, it's not a bad port. It runs fine on my PC and the Fraps counter is present, too. Now, only if they can get rid of the framerate cap...

It's too bad that the game is rough around the edges, because it's really enjoyable otherwise. The only real complaint I have so far is all the side missions are like WW2 in the streets of LA. I mean you go from investigating and maybe running someone down and punching him, to shooting and killing ten gang members with shotguns and Thompsons...

I would've preferred if they kept the shootey to a minimum and tried to draw you into the moment more with it, make it a bit more realistic or something... it's very GTA.

After reading some of this comments I'll stick with the PS3 version, I don't want another bad port.

Someone here asked what is wrong with 30fps.
It is noticeable when your used to other games having better fps.Try running the same game on 2x screens next to each other, one at 60fps, the other 30fps, and you will notice.
Games made with max 30fps for PC need to be slapped. What are they thinking? Don't they realise that PC can go higher and with Vsync if there is tearing.
It's really just laziness of a direct port without any optimising.
Major game developers need to hire some awesome indie devs to get things right again.

Nopes, not getting it. Already own it for my PS3, and no way i'm gonna cash out for one more copy just to have it on PC, like some people are doing. Craziness!

At the time i wrote my post there was no way to play it on PC...only the cracked theta version was out...the irony...

P.S. Iam so glad that some of u guys got burned with this game...iam radiating with joy when i see that u guys got screwed over(like would be the first time)

You never learn ur lessons...dont not buy a game day 1...especially do not pre-order...and when it comes to Rockstar avoid any game unless there is GTA...

It looks released on Steam's Italy, Spain, German and Poland pages but I still can't download it. Any suggestions?murekkep
