Thanks in advance.

But here http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=166004
a GeForce 8800
Core 2 Duo E6600
two gigs of RAM.
- is enough to run Crysis on Ultra High settings with that setup
Thank you kind sir. How would a XFX GeForce 8600GTS PVT84GUDE3 HDCP Video Card Fair up in the graphics departmentalong withcan't find them because they haven't been released. Probably see then in the next month or two.

From what I read in PC Gamer, the system requirements are going to be suprisingly low for those sort of graphics. Im not saying they'll be dead low, but just not as high as some would expect. I know 2GBs ofRAM (DDR or DDR2 I dont know) is certainly on the menu, and one of todays Mid-range Graphics cards could probably run it on low settings Id imagine, if an 8800 will do Ultra High, I dont see why something significantly lower wont do the lowest settings. Dont quote me on this, its just a guess.F4ll3n_1So a XFX GeForce 8600GTS should do the job nicely?
I'd suggest you got for a 8800 if possiblenutcrackrAgreed if you plan on playing Crysis and you already have an E6600 + 2GB a ram you're realy craping your system with an 8600.
The 8600 will play the game fine no dought but maybe onmedium asoposed to an8800 which would run iton high.
I'd suggest you got for a 8800 if possiblenutcrackrWould the GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 be up to running it on Med-High? I would really like a high frame rate on a game like this :D. Thanks for all the advise guys, but I'm not really going to drop a such an amount of money for the 640MB version or higher...the 320MB will have to do the job. :)
8800gts 320 should be pretty sweet for crysis I think :)nutcrackrThanks a tonne guys *goes back to CS :P*

Depends on your resolution, anything about 1600xXXXX , would need the 8800 GTS 640 MB in order to maintain smoothness, anything lower is ok for the 320 MB model.
If you read the article properly it was mentioned that no hardware today on the market would be able to run "certain" settings fully enabled.
It was said it would take about eighteen months to fully enable Crysis. However, it was said with before mentioned set-up that game will play smooth on Ultra-High Settings.
I for one don't mind High settings fully enabled, then few barely noticeable Ultra version.
Also, there is no need to make such a huge deal. Crysis pushed graphics to next level, core 2 duo and 8800 cards have to support high level of detail properly, but so does any other midrange system on respectively medium options.
If it didn't then it would never sell to the market. You don't make a game when no "affordable" hardware can run it. Personally many of my friends don't have 8800 or core 2 duo, but very decent systems. Are they and many other gamers supposed skip this game?
They shouldn't. That's not how market works. Any developer with half brain understand how it should work. So far Crytek is doing well.
My prediction...
Minimum requirements
- Pentium 4 @ 3Ghz
- 1GB RAM
- GeForce 6800GT / ATI X1650
Recommended requiremnts
- Intel Core 2 Duo / AMD Athlon X2
- 2GB RAM
- GeForce 7 series / Radeon X1900 series with 256MB VRAM
- For DX10 graphic. GeForce 8800GTS / Radeon HD2900

I think that recommended requierments are too high. 7800GTX is good for recommended. Recommended doesnt mean Ultra high which 8800GTS will probably be able torun and also 2900XT.
Crysis looks awesome, but for me it looks like one of those games it is better to buy about a year after release, when you have just bought a new pc. If I can only just run a game at below medium settings it really isnt worth playing, as not only will the graphics look poor, the overall performance and gaming experience will suffer. If I leave it til I get a new PC I can then enjoy the game to its full (and patched) potential as it was intended to be played.

I was going for the Ultra high settings. I think you are probably right about the 7800GTX. Its certainly a good card, and it would surprise me if it can't max out Crysis (in DX9)
