If you're talking about JK2: jedi outcast, then yes its totally worth it. Its the best star wars game there is IMO (tied with KOTOR). It aged very well, I only played it last year for the first time and I had a blast.

.... haven't played it myself, but Gamespot gave it a 8.6 and users gave it a 9 for it's heyday (1999). I sure it'll be lookin' pretty dated, but it kinda looks like it might be worth a shot.

The looks aren't too bad for a 1999 game because it was based on voxels instead of polygons.

at the time (1999) it was an absolute masterclass imho. the soundtrack is absolutely wonderful and some of the tech and rendering techniques used in that game was the kind of stuff we would see again untill morrowind (especially with the water). at the time it was also stunning to look at. a little pixelated due to using voxels but the scenery was really something else. its bugged to buggery though (i have a long tale around just getting it installed..but i wont go into it here). GOG as far as i know gurantee that all games that they sell will work on modern windows..so that souldnt be a problem. would i recommend a purchase? oooh its a toughy. as reference of what its like......in terms of gameplay (but not structure) its like what zelda would be like if the main weapon was guns. its certainly a very interesting game and the areas are very nice to explore. but its very rough. if your used to really highly polished execution then this is going to hurt. but it was hugely ambitous. my main concern (besides being bugy) is the combat. the AI was very advanced at the time (and in some ways puts modern games to shame) but the combat AI is pretty slow. its clever..itll try to outflank you and use its numbers as an advantage....but you can see it coming a mile off. also it is blocky due to its voxel engine and no amount of horsepower is going to imrpove that (unless someone has modded to really up the resolution). so i would recommend it...but it has problems. its a very rough diamond but still worth having. its a shame the sequal was canned and appeal went under.

That game had the best soundtrack ever, I never managed to finish it though since I was just a kid when I played it back then.

You're an outcast for playing it.

Outcast is one of the most interesting games that you'll ever play for sure. It has an unique Art Style because of its specific use of Voxel Technology that isn't used in today's games at all (you don't even need a graphics card to play it, only a cpu). And because of its distinctness, it's still a pleasure to see and play today. As it's one of the first games to have a true living and breathing world.

Gog has scored a huge one in getting this and has strengthened my faith in them.

Funny: Just installed it the last weekend. But unfortunately though, I could not bring myself to play it due to the very 'special' graphics.

Reinstalled Clive Barker's Undying instead....
