I heard the player base died out a bit. I don't know anyone to play with and it seems like it's hard to make friends.

I haven't played it in a little while, but I still do frequently. Still the best isometric arpg available right now. What's your account name? I'll add you next time I'm on.
Not the most polished, and certainly inferior to D3 as far as combat goes. I care only about combat and monster variety, so D3 is better for me.I haven't played it in a little while, but I still do frequently. Still the best isometric arpg available right now. I'm not a hardcore looter, by the way. I don't care much about loots as far as there are loots.
Thus, I will never understand people's infatuation with Path of Exile.

Well that would explain why you're not so keen on Path of Exile. :P Game is 100% about the loot. Especially at the higher levels, when you start really getting into the upgrading/rerolling systems, with the plethora of item-altering orbs. And the combat is definitely a bit weak, but it's been getting better and better with every patch. Been playing since getting invited to the closed beta about a year and half ago. The combat was sooooooo clunky back then. Game still more than redeemed itself with the item and skill systems.
D3's combat is spectacular, I'll give it that. It's just a shame that the game isn't even an RPG. Still, Reaper of Souls and Loot 2.0 looks to go a very long way toward improving that. Can't wait.

I just wish Blizz would scrap the AH :(. I hope the expansion makes it a worthy diablo game, but I have my doubts.
I am waiting to play PoE again, when they release more content.

I've been playing off and on for over a year and half, and I haven't even seen it all. Plus, Act 3 isn't even finished yet (final levels and boss coming soon), and then there will also be an Act 4, hopefully by the end of this year. And, according to a developer I talked to on the chat a while back, their long-term plan is to release a new Act every year for... as long as they can keep it up.

Yeah I heard that too in the forums. They seem to be nice developers.
