Thats wrong. Depending on your race, after Tortage you either begin in Cimmeria, Stygia, or Aquilonia.

Its clear to me that you, I and others here have firmly planted our views on this game, and dont plan on budging. Calling a game an epic failure when its just showed great first week sales, and oh yeah, only been out a week shows that quite clearly in your case.

They just don't want to see that WoW finally has come decent competition.

Yeah, but AoC is different from other MMOs. I wouldn't compare them and say play one game and not the other, they are both great. To be honest, I am enjoying AoC more than I ever enjoyed WoW, but I think WoW shouldn't be passed on. They are different games. If AoC was just an EQ / WoW clone, then you could compare them like that, but it's not.

[QUOTE="hikari33"]This game has insane amounts of potential but im sorry a MMO with weak PVE content(based on multiple online reviews) is bound to fail, the reason WoW did so great was because its PVE content was extremely well done, you could do a different quest lines with each race. How ever from what ive heard in AoC, the quests are very linear and boring, and its the same quests whenever you start a new character.ct1615

The PVE in AOC is great, i dont know what youve been hearing, but its just as good if not better then wow.

Maybe actually try the game first

he's right, it is the same quests for every class as you start? the game is an epic failure compared to WoW, you just refuse to see it.

The first 20 levels is just the single player, then you are transported to one three starting areas for multi player, depending on your race. I believe WoW had six when it started, but it also only went to level 60. AoC goes to 80, plus the combat is much better in AoC. WoW's combat gets old fast. Really the only pro that WoW has is no loading times when entering new zones, but AoC has better graphics. They both have thier pros and cons. I enjoyed WoW for a year or so back when it came out but now I'm so glad there is something new that comes pretty close to the quality level that Blizzard achieved with WoW.

Played WoW for years (Game got boring...) Played LOTRO for a while (The classes were boring, and mundane) and now I bought AOC today, havent played it (Gotta wait till the 6th to play it, damn computer problems!) but from what i've heard, it is a fun game.

People who have never played an MMO before can't really complain about AOC at all, and WoW fiends bash every other MMO in existance, but from the non bias crowd, I am getting great reactions, and I can't wait to play.

I plan to make a Herald of Xotli, is that a good class? Any recommendations?

I pretty much play WoW for the raids and lore, im a huge warcraft fan, but the the direction blizzard has been taking with WoW really upsets me. I would really like to know what kind of raids are in AoC( i know the game is very new but there has to be some info on raids or raid like stuff)

You do know that you can do the quests with some friends and not just the singleplayer at night right ? (talking about pre- level 20)
