I know there's The Sims 3 and Diablo etc...
Are there any NEW games that are compatible with Mac? (Obviously Excluding the Sims)
I can't seem to find any, Probably because there are in fact Zero :(.

Thanks for the replies guys, never knew there were so many :P
I didn't buy a Mac for gaming, I was wondering if there were any games that I could get for it though.

Like I tell any customers that come into my work asking if they should buy a Mac I say "make absolutely sure you need one". if you don't need something Mac can only offer yuou then you are better off on Windows.

Yeah I agree. Macs might be stylish and neat. But for functionality and price, WIndows PC wins every time.Yeah I agree. Macs might be stylish and neat. But for functionality and price, WIndows PC wins every time.zomglolcats
I agree. Usually ther end result of me spending five to ten minutes talking to me is that they can't think of a single practical reason they wanted a Mac. They typically hear rumors like how Macs can't get any viruses and how they run so much better than Windows. They usually have so much misinformation pumped into them that they just need to get better information. I don't bash Macs and I don't always tell customers not to buy a Mac but there is much less reason to own one than most think.

Yeah I agree. Macs might be stylish and neat. But for functionality and price, WIndows PC wins every time. What if I need a high end workstation with multiple CPUs? The Mac Pro is pretty cheap when compared to stuff like the HP Z series, etc. :P[QUOTE="zomglolcats"][QUOTE="PublicNuisance"]Yeah I agree. Macs might be stylish and neat. build it. It's much cheaper, I checked. Also a Mac should be able to play anything, it is the utimate gaming machine after all. :P

The fact you can build a PC trumps that. You can even find places that will build it for you for a fee and will walk you through what you need.
Haha you guys are classics, you think you can walk in to a PC store and find workstation parts? LMFAO! Mainboards which support multiple processors, SAS RAID controllers, SAS drives, etc... this stuff isn't cheap (or widely available). The Mac Pro is an extremely cheap workstation, if you don't think so then you really don't know much about high end computing. :roll:CellAnimationYes they are decent, but I wouldn't call them that great value. Many of the clusters I use I insist are hand built, of course, that rarely ever happens. Yay more x86 servers from Dell and SCSI driver hell :(

Its tragic that mac cant keep up with the gaming community.
The other day i saw battlefront 1 on the shelves of the apple store at the city along with some other games that were 2 years old.
This is because Mac's hardware at the moment aint good enough for many games because of graphics support and such but maybe they can fix that in the future.

Even if they had betetr hardware you would have to convince more developers to spend time porting a game to Mac which has roughly 10% of the market share.

Yes because the average computer user needs workstation parts.

What you listed is a very specific need. That does not cover the average consumer useage.

Actually, yeah you can. Have you ever even looked at newegg?

This. Anybody who considers themselves computer savvy would buy their parts from a place like newegg. Not walk into Best Buy.[QUOTE="scoots9"][QUOTE="CellAnimation"]Haha you guys are classics, you think you can walk in to a PC store and find workstation parts? LMFAO! Actually most people who are computer "savvy" would work in the IT industry and would be more interested in the support they get from their hardware supplier and not saving a few bucks. This is the reason HP is the biggest computer company in the world. :P[QUOTE="zomglolcats"][QUOTE="scoots9"]This. Of course Macs can play games, if game developers stop freaking using DirectX and move to open source standards like OpenGL. Then all of *nix will see games coming out to them. (Mac's kernel is UNIX btw people)Actually, yeah you can. Have you ever even looked at newegg?

use bootcamp to run windows and you can play any game you want ;)darkmagician06
Like I have told many Mac users before: If you have to run a seperate OS to cover all of your needs then Mac just isn't as good as Windows. I don't have to run a dual boot with Mac (even if I could) to get some feature Windows doesn't give me. it is admitting Mac is less feature rich.
