What CAN we do? Besides fill out stupid partitions online which won't do jack sh!t or just don't buy the game there's really nothing else i can think of.

They get peoples attention, and it's their prerogative to respond. We can do stuff, there's the folks modding and messing with Sim City proving how much **** was coming out of Maxis and EA about the always online connection, and naturally there's the basic stuff like just not buying games and generating negative PR.
It's not much, but consumer groups in general aren't exactly crazy mad powerhouses.
I mean hey look at media like film and TV if you want to see how bad things can get. Oh boy.
Yes, I often see gamers whine about games before purchasing them. The real question is, why did they buy them? It's like buying Sim City when you already knew that it has always-online DRM. They should speak with their wallets.

Lots of games have always online DRM (Steam!) but who expected Sim City to be flat-out broken at launch?
