Cool, I might buy this game now. I didn't get it when it first came out because of the bugs and performance issues, but it seems like these have been fixed.

BTW, has the atrocious AI driving been improved?

i love how they mark dlc as free when DLC was been free on pc for like ever until consoles ruined things. But luckily, only the big crap companies follow that pattern.

If you buy ArmA for the single player campaign then you're missing the point to be honest.

It's like if they made a new flight simulator and tacked on some single player story to it.... at the end of the day it's all about simulating flight.

Well I don't play MP but for starters all the people in those games are controlled by humans unless it's coop.

I myself just use the editor, I like creating my own engagements and scenarios.... sometimes it all fails horribly but when it all comes together, the game is an absolute masterpiece.

This. I've spent about 200 hours in ArmA 2 just messing around with the editor. It's simply amazing.

GillianMcMezmer

from a gameplay perspective, ArmA 2 is near perfection.

However, technically, it is garbage. There are so many issues with this game, it is not even funny. Same applies to ArmA 1.

Unfortunately, the gaming population is so starving for a simulation theyll take a diamond in the rough. I include myself in there, too

I didn't see any improvement to my FPS, then again I think my GPU is bottlenecked by my CPU.

It's very CPU intensive, I plan on upgrading to i7 based system early next year. From what I've read, it performs much better.

dude you always say this, but singleplayer is the meat and potatoes of any FPS unless otherwise specified.

singleplayer matters to the majority of the gaming population. Multiplayer is icing on the cake

Awesome!! The game already is tons of fun but BI just keeps doing alot more stuff! BI is up there with Valve as my favorites for doing work on there products after they are out. Alot of companys just leave there game after its released and thats it. But BI and Valve really do a great job of stickign with a release after its come out.

Downloading this now and gonna try the new mission!

ARMA2 = This years best shooter imo!

This game is so underrated its ridicolous, its just nto for everyone as its got a long learning curve when compared to other shooters. The game runs so much better now then it did when it first came out, I honestly dont have any issues with this game anymore at all. This new update will just be icing on the cake for me.

For some people online is the main draw to a game and for otehrs the singleplayer is the main drraw. For others its a tie.. both online and singleplayer.

For me ARMA2 has a great mix of both. I enjoyed the campaign alot and also there are hundreds of user made missions to do singleplayer aswell. On top of that the online is great to.

You are an ARMA 2 fanboy no-doubt.

Because I like it?
I didnt expect ARMA2 to be fun and I hated the demo, but I have a ton of fun with the full version.

Just because someone likes a game doesnt make them a fanboy. I admit the voice acting is laughable and that when the game first came out there was TONS of issues, a fanboy wouldnt admit that. But BI has done a great job with the latest patches, especially this one.

Im not a fanboy of any game or series if you want the truth. I didnt expect to enjoy ARMA2 but Im having a great time with it.

I didnt like ARMA1 and didnt like the demo for ARMA2, just ebcause I like ARMA2 doesnt make me a ARMA2 fanboy, your name calling is hilarious, grow up.

People who enjoy a game are not fanboys and people who hate or disslike a game are not HATERS, understand?

Kozzy is far from being an ArmA 2 fanboy (Though he does seem to get a little obsessed sometimes :P). An ArmA 2 fanboy also wouldn't put Modern Warfare 2 in their "Best games of 09" list. And yeah, the new campaign is pretty awesome, those AA guns and APC's are a !@#$% though.

If im an ARMA2 fanboy.. wouldnt you think that ARMA2 would be #1 on my GAMES OF THE YEAR list and not the 3rd?

SYSTEM WARS is >>> that way bud! If you want to call people out and say fanboy this and that then go to system wars.

How come a small developer can create a patch that works with both retail and steam versions? Yet we have big players like EA create NFS Shift patch for retail only, and yet Steamstill hasn't got this patch?
Just shows the larger the developer, the less caring and the more money hungry they are.

Same, prefer SP. Tried MP but I think I accidently joined some real serious people. I was getting yelled at through mics to take cover and head 75 degrees right to flank via something called Echelon. Then getting yelled at to move back into formation all the time. It was like "geez it's just a game peeps, get over it"
