I recently downloaded the PC demo for ArmA: Combat Operations and installed it. When I clicked on the shortcut to run the demo my monitor went out and it said no signal. So I hit ctrl+alt delete and clicked around randomly until I eventually hit the shut down button. Right away the screen came back and said windows is shutting down. My computer meets and succeeds all of the requirement for the demo and the full game but I have Vista. I tried changing the compatibility but nothing changed. What should I do and, and if nothing, does anyone think that the full version of the game will work on my computer?

Do you think that the full version will do the same?

The demo does not work on Vista 64 bit systems with 4GB of RAM. The game will work provided you install the latest patch. Alternately, you can run it in windowed mode.

You can add parameters to the shortcut or the arma demo.exe file to enable it to run in windowed mode.

Right click on the shortcut, select properties and look for a box labelled "target". It should say something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArmA\ArmA.exe".

Just add the tag to the end of it. For example, if you want to run in windowed mode and set your resolution to 1280x1024, your target entry would read:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\ArmA\ArmA.exe" -window -x=1280 -y=1024

-x= Numeric, used to set resolution width
-y= Numeric, used to set resolution height
-window Displays ArmA windowed instead of full screen
(can be used in conjunction with -x/-y: -window -x=800 -y=600)
-nosplash Disables intro and splash screens

Thanks. I'll try that later on. I'm on a different computer at the moment.

Thats not working out for me. Can anyone else give me any suggestions on how to stop my monitior from losing its signal to my computer when I launch the ArmA: Combat Operations demo? And does anyone think that the full game will do the same thing?
