ARMA3 Thread - Discussion, Screenshots,etc..

ARMA3 is no up for purchase on steam and you get to try the ALPHA version of the game now.

Thought it would be nice to have a thread where eeryone can chat about this upcoming game.

Will be playing in 30mins here, it is downloading right now.

Its pretty good. A pretty decent improvement over ArmA2 so far in terms of controls and navigating your characterIantheone

Things I always wanted in the arma series hehe.

Have a blast with the series even with its issues in the past, we dont get alot of realistic shooters these days. This new one sure looks alot smoother for controls and animations/movign you're character.

Few more minutes and Ill be on ;)

Is there an option to bring back the cIassic ARMA crosshair and weapon handling? I loved how you could move your head but not the weapon.

You should be able to move your head seperately, but the old crosshair is gone.

Wow, the movement is sooooo much better, feels so natural now. Wonderful job BI. Only tried the Infantry Showcase and it just felt so good moving around with my squad.

Downloading since this morning, only at 2.7 gigs :( My internet is so crap.

OO are they going the minecraft style pricing? buy cheap and more the game gets complete more costly?

You  can still do that. Except for the new stances, the only real diference I have noticed to infantry controls is that you have to press W+S to toggle run/walk instead of double tap or hold left shift key. The looking around button is still alt by default.

Controls and the graphics are way better then ARMA II. Editor also looks cleaner and there is an option to switch it to the old ARMA II layout.

Hell yeah, controls/movement feel so smooth, definatly looks nice to.
