Anywho..I will have to play a demo - but just one other thing: Its priced at $50 it says here on GS - does that mean $50 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS by any chance? I am using the au gs pages you see..ahem. I can only hope..

I bet that's American. C'mon B_L, when's the last time you've seen a top-tier game go for $50 at retail at first release :P

I know I haven't (except for steam, good old orange box with American pricing :P).

And I've already got AC for 360, but if I didn't, I would buy it on PC, so I raise my hand anyway ;).

So does anyone know that the new content is going to be?

I want it, but I also have a ton to play right now. if it turns out that AC doesn't run so well (even on my beefy hardware), I don't have much incentive to buy it. I really want to believe things are going to be better for PC gamers now, but after seeing the rec specs on the game, I'm pretty hesitant.

I want it, but not if it runs like ass. That said, I've had it on pre-order since it became available, and I'm pretty lazy. I may end up buying it afterall because those six or seven clicks it would take me to cancel my order is judt too much effort. It's six or seven clicks worth of time I could be spending doing something else.

I swear that is true - I promised some guys on the Alan Wake forum that I would get the official release date and said that " I have a chair on the Alan Wake forum" ( I just got that from the Simpsons where Burns says he has a chair at the university). So it was slightly disappointing for me lol.

The new content is 4 bonus mission types - whatever that means...

ass creed is retailing for abou $80 AUD, not too bad. But then again not something I'll be getting without a demo.nutcrackr

I'm sure when it was being released first for the consoles they said there won't be any demo, so I doubt we will have one for the PC:|.

I'm pretty sure my machine will run it, I don't have 3gb of ram but still my system is fairly good.

however I'm more concerned with the gameplay, people say that once you kill your first target you've seen the whole game, and that doesn't appeal to me much. Then again a demo will not show me that, as it would likely be one hit only.

So I think I just decided that I'll be waiting till it retails for quite a bit cheaper.

What is the actual Game play like? I dont mean repetitious or what not - is it overly simple? A preview said it was and "not a hard game" - Is it basically all combat and climbing? Give me the details - I don't own a console and i never will...

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Built by a company who delayed the game for at least four years - and probably much longer. It's surprising they got the game out, never mind a demo.

Most or all PC games that don't get demos are either too big, or are console games primarily and either don't get demos on the PC, or don't get demos at all. Most PC-centric games get demos. Especially the ones we care about.

It's just too bad Sins doesn't have a demo out. If ever there was a game people should be buying but are too scared to commit to without a demo...

There are still plenty of demos that get released for the PC thats why I guess that guy got laughed at:D, some that don't tend to be ports I guess.

Those requirements are indeed the official requirements, I think the only thing changed was it requiring a little less disk space, Good job ubi:roll:.

It's most likely just some shoddy optimization, and also becuase on consoles it streams those huge cities, which probably they decided to load all at once into ram.

re the requirements, it does depend on what they aim at recommended, that might be pretty high settings with AA.

But I suspect, as per Noobisoft's last efforts (double agent) they have a team of blind monkeys working on the port job

Yup. I don't think four extra investigation types will make buying another version justifiable. It's kind of sad they think that will add variety to an already short and repetitive game. I bet it will get another free ride here.

I have it on 360, and the game got boring VERY fast, its pretty repetative.

Decent game but not amazing or worthy of AAA status imo

You know there is a thread all about the witcher around here that you really should delve into lol. I think it is a great game - at least you can borrow it - i can only buy it but its expensive $90

I will get this game for sure. But I dont agree with the 3gb of memory system reqs. I bought my pc in July of 07 and don't feel the need to upgrade anytime soon.
