I've seen a few reviews and heard this motherboard is hard to get stable overclocking, however i will be using quad core q9550 and I'm not totally sure if i will defo OC, has this mobo got any other problems apart from stable OC? i was told to stay away from asus + 750i mobos so just would like to know if any1 else had problems??

I own this board with a q6600 ,4gb 2x2 ocz sli aka epp ram and 2 8800 gt's in sli. Its a good board no problems with overclocking but the north bridge can get hot depending on how high you take it, just install the optional fan that comes with it. some cons are the 7 series is picky about ram causing a video artifact issue asus has fixed this with a bios update .The sli slots are close together if you have a side case fan this shouldn't be a problem. I never had the video issue with my ram.

I have this board too. Runs great with my E8400 and 8800 GTS SLI ,no problem with ram.I RMA it once because I tried to Oc my E8400 to 3800 mhz and the bord died. Maybe it was a PSU issue ,I have only a 600W psu.You should get this board ONLY if you need SLI and you don't have enough to buy a 780i or the EVGA 750i FTW.

Not really. You should get an NVIDIA chipset mobo ONLY if you need SLI if not defenetly get an Intel mobo. Much better. I have the P5N-D and I dont regret it at all. I'm keeping this ring for about 2 years, maybe a CPU upgrade later to a quad.
