So, long story short, I am trying to seperate my custom water-cooling system from my PC. Radiators, pumps, fans are in a seperate housing from my PC. Currently everything is being powered by some extra molex connectors from my PC's PSU running out the back of the case to the water system housing. I would like to have a dedicated 50w(ish) PSU for the water cooling components that turns on when I turn on my pc, or can be turned on/off via switch.
I've searched around on the net and haven't found anything that specifically suits my purpose. I may not be using appropriate search terms. I have found a 12v switching power supply http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/PS-1265/12-VDC-5.4-AMP-POWER-SUPPLY/1.html that I was considering using, but I don't really know what I am doing as far as getting the circuits set up properly nor do I really know if it would be appropriate anyway.
Anyone have any constructive thoughts or ideas on the matter?
