What country is that?Well I´m glad that I live in a country where no game was ever censored/banned. Wouldn´t want to be in the skin of our aussie friends. :)

Makes me glad the US doesnt have the kind of moral police who make decide for us what is best. Especially when you have a person who will make a decision based on his personal view of things.Jd1680a
Don't have that problem in here, normally we get games in a uncensored and uncut version or can buy them outside whiteout restrictions.
But does Mr Atkinson knows what adult means?? It seems to me that a man in is position using is personal point of view to ban or permit games as he sees fit is nothing more than abusing of his power. So much for IS "democracy"(refereeing to is gamespotAU interview).
Mr. Atkinson this was written by a 25 year old gamer that uses is right as adult to buy the games he thinks will enjoy; some paint, some go fishing/hunting, some look at the sea, some smoke, some drink; I PLAY, don't you think adults in your own country should have that right??.
[QUOTE="Arach666"]What country is that? Portugal. No games are censored around here. Edit: (at least that I have noticed) ;)Well I´m glad that I live in a country where no game was ever censored/banned. Wouldn´t want to be in the skin of our aussie friends. :)

I can confirm Arach666 the games aren't censored. The ones that appear censored are imported already with its features, for example already saw the UK an US version of The Witcher at sale in Portugal.
After many controversial game bannings, Australia's Government will finally hear what the public want from their country's media ratings body.
Citizens are being asked to fill out a questionnaire that will help the nation's leaders decide whether Australia should allow an R18+ rating for games, like there is for films.

We have one game show on TV, and they'll recently lambasted Left 4 Dead 2 because of how sanitized it was. My point though is that this same made a great point: Australia got to play Modern Warfare 2 where you walk around an airport gunning down merciless people by the bucketload. Yet we can't see zombies spew out blood. The Australian system is a farce, but it wont be long before the masses get their way. This type of archaic thinking just cant survive.
The game was recIassified as 15+ And nothing was changed:lol:
That's great for SEGA, but a huge hot potato for Australians since everybody else rated it 18+. Aussies still don't have a proper mature cIassfication, yet now they hand it to teenagers. Awesome.
Whoever wrote
Whoever wrote this. Is now my hero.We will not be releasing a sanitised or cut down version for territories where adults are not considered by their governments to be able to make their own entertainment choices.
