Aw, what?! I was having the time of my life when I just started playing this game yesterday. Sure there are connection problems especially on release day but I guess it's because the servers are overloaded, jam-packed with people wanting to play some multiplayer due to it's popularity. Plus they said they are already working a solution as we speak.
Also, this game has ,hands down , the best sound design ever done in a game.
Very impressed with the singe player so far, only played for an hour last night and it is much better than I had expected (The sound....Wow, it's amazing) havent touched multi yet, played a ton of beta though, hectic work schedule/mid terms this week, so no videogames for me until Saturday at the earliest, I want to play with some GS members :)[QUOTE="kozzy1234"]
I wasnt to impressed with the Bad Company2 beta, but the full version is very good.
Conquest mode is way better then Rush and also they put the worst map in the beta. Also singleplayer is better then i expected, great job DICE.
Not on BF2 level, but still very fun imo online.

Ill be outta town for a family funeral till sunday, but sunday night or monday ill be on for some more matches online (:
Some of these onine maps are jsut amazing on conquest, and your right about the sound its just crazy, the sounds are done very well and the editing is crisp to.

hopefully I'll be able to join with you guys in-game. Right now I needa brush up my newbie skillz in the single-player
A. They have a profanity filter on an M rated game.
B. Press tab in game and you will see MP_Kills_Deaths overlapping _________?
C. Long server names overlap the map name in the server browser.
D. Play Now sent me to an AU server. POS matchmaking.
F. High and low quality textures have no **** difference.
G. Joining a server 28/32 tells me Server is full.
H. Random servers in the browser wont let me join.
I. Server browser takes 40 seconds to load.
J. Random disconnects.
K. Knife auto aim causes more harm than good. Or BAD REG.
L. Clunky movements.
Still one of the best FPS games Ive played but it can certainly do without these **** issues. **** DICE get this **** fixed. And next time finish the game before you sell it.

So how is it compared to BF2 ? Im thinking about buying it but its damn expensive :/
Or should i just stick with BF2 and PR for now ? :)
It's a tighter BF2 experience, the environments, sounds, graphics, guns and destruction are all better... BF2 had bigger maps and planes, I don't think I could go back.
PR is good though, this is more arcadey than that obviously, but more fun as well IMO.
Yeah I agree. While BF2 was a great game, its pretty old now, and after Bad Company 2, I couldn't go back to play BF2. I'll just wait for BF3 and play BC2 in the mean time.is there a lot of voice communication in BC2 compared to previous battlefields?...one thing i didnt like about bout the previous bf's is that people would rarely ever talk whether you're in a squad or not, and sometimes just feels like im playing with bots.kidcool189Not really in my experience. Most games you might as well not even be in a squad. Though I have played a some where the Squad actually used their mics and worked together. That was pretty awesome. But I'd say my experience so far is that the vast majority do not. But if you join a clan or something I'm sure that problem would be fixed.
Wow it's like the game is a"love it or hate it" game. It's actually like the release of Mw2, fanboy wars all over again. I came to boards to find some decent opinion about the game but at one side there are some people praising it like crazy, on the other side there are some bashing it (hence the topic name).
I personally loved the Beta but I played it on my friends ps3 because of the "preorder or no beta for you" bs on pc. The game requires teamplay (unlike Rambowars that mw has become) and it has big maps, vehicles coupled with destructible enviroment made the game very enjoyable. I admit that Cod's general feel is a bit better, more satisfying but Bc 2 is more realistic at least.
The issues people are having seems like temporary to me (again unlike permanent no dedicated issue on mw).Almost no one complained about the gameplay much (except "people diez hard" which sounds like a matter of opinion to me). So I think it is healthy to conclude that almost everybody is content with the game except for connection/unlock/bug issues.
What do you expect from a consolized game? 04dcarraher
Currently I think that BC 2 did turn from the consolized standard from BC 1 into a more PC game next to the BF2. They did a superb job in the squad system and the environment destructibility adds tons of options to the ways you can play the game that wasn't present in previous games.
If you're still unpleased with things as the auto reg you can play in hardcore: no crosshair, no health regen, etc.

My friend is buying it for me in the US as we speak, cant wait to play when hes back on Monday! :D From what I hear this game seems amazing, at least that is what MOST people say (including people that know their stuff on FPS :P). Also from what I hear, this is far from a consolized game; Just like ondoval says, it seems like they made this game more like a PC thing (at least on the PC that is hehe)... many options to tweak the visuals, better controls, better interface, more difficulty levels, awesome multiplayer, dedicated servers.... I mean where is consolization there?the game does have some technical issues, but that does not make it garbage.
I'd give it...3 or 4 more days until its essentially perfect
People need to get/use their dam mics..other than that the game is amazing.Saying anything other is just stupid.the kinks will be worked out by the end of the wekkend so quit all ya b******

if anything the game needs a command menu with simple commands...the "social" button works fine when identifying targets and giving squad order to objectives, but it would be far better if they let you say:
1. Thanks
2. You're Welcome
3. Defend this zone (then plant a squad beacon or something)
4. Attach this zone (then plant a beacon)
5. Need repairs
6. Need ammo
7. Need health
Thats really all it needs, either via a radial menu or a simple numeric one.
