It's kinda meh, but you can't really expect much from DICE when it comes to patching their games. It's 50/50 if a patch will make the game better or worse. The hitbox changes make it significantly easier to hit someone now. Still some hitreg issues with stationary targets. I'm kinda on the fence about these changes. It's nice to be able to hit someone you're aiming at with ease (seems too easy, to be honest), but the changes also made it so you die significantly faster. There's hardly anytime to react before you're dead now. I don't know if this is a result of server lag or the new hit box changes. Normal feels like hardcore with how fast you're dropped. Chopper handling has greatly improved and countermeasures are a nice touch (although they don't work the same way most people would expect). The new chat system covers half the screen, literally, in a light blue tint whenever someone chats. Who knows how this made it by QA... Server lag and latency issues weren't fixed (feels worse to be honest). 60% of the time it works fine, but it'll spike every now and again sending you rubber banding across the map. Pings on good servers are between 150 and 250, which is ridiculous in comparison to BF2. BF2 had 64 players and I could still maintain a ping of around 30-40. Still cannot see server ping from server browser. Supposed to be fixed...
Sweet I can actually see pings in the server browser now, I played it for the first time since release week today and it's sad that they still havne't fixed the incredibly poor hit detection.
Dedicated servers and worse hit detection than MW2... makes sense.

I agree with everything but QA isn't to blame for this, they check for bugs and stability they can't report something that isn't broken and this stupid chat system works exactly like DICE intended, the real question is what were "they", DICE, thinking?
At least the knife works but this was it, the last chance, I'm not playing this game even if my friends want to play a few rounds, uninstalled it after 5 games, and it will stay like that till Vietnam (if it has a decent price for those 4 maps and the other less important things, for me at least), if not hopefully they'll release a BF 3 not a BC 3 as their next game.
Just finished downloading... New chat is BAD. They replaced the kills and the chat for widescreen. My 5:4 monitor doesn't show the chat on the top, it shows almost in the middle of the screen...

Afaik they have fixed the m1 garand stat issues. My m1 is finally recording kills but I'm pretty sure that award for getting all weapon bronze is still bugged. I wish they would properly fix the hit reg instead of just making the hit boxes bigger.
I must say, the game has improved a ton since release. I played a lot and got up to rank 29, but then I kinda dropped the game.. got annoyed with a lot of stuff. But now the maps all load quite fast, the server browser is much faster, and all the shooting mechanics and hit detection feel much more responsive. And the game feels fairly balanced.

It doesn't mention it in the list, but the patch also fixes the server browser (finally!). Basicly, now it will actually show Pings when not being run as Administrator, and unlike before those pings will actually be correct now! (The pings in the last Server browser "fix" seemed to be just randomly made up. Connecting to a 60 ping server would lead you to a server where you had 100+ ping etc)

He is pretty much the anti of most people on this board. When most people say modern warfail 2 sucks he disagree's when most everyone else is agreeing with the OP. He has always said stuff like this He's Anti Crysis because other people like it, He hates any game that people seem to like. I just kind of ignore him now as there is no point reading his ignorant posts tbh. He will also report this post so hopefully you read it before he reports it :) Yeah but there is no leaning in MW2 either if I remember correctly. And of course they would wait until the week my GPU break to release a patch. Now I can't wait to get my graphics card back. :(
Can't download the patch using auto-updater, at all. Thanks a lot, EA. Now, I can't play on any server and I can't patch my game. Maybe next time you can release a patch that will automatically erase all my installed games too.

I think lean is quite useful, especially in sniper vs sniper situations. The thing is, today's fps games are mostly built with run-n-gun conditions where lean is just not that effective anymore. It all depends on the type of gameplay the devs want to implement.

I will put it this way, so because i like mw2 and i dont like crysis i am anti something and there is no way thats my honest opinion? Thats what pisses me off when people are so close minded that think their opinions are the same, i witnessed many times when just a non name user comes here and ask things people moch that user for his opinions and ideas, yet i am one of the few ones who can suggest games without mocking his views on them. Call me casual and i dont care but i personally think that some people should stop posing with that "Hardcore pc gamer" title that means that some specific games are better than others and thats an undeniable fact. Its just games after all. I joined the forums for varied opinions and views. Also black ops will have dedicated servers and lean and the mp will be made diffirent with alot of liberties taken from the developers. Lets see how that works out.
