AvP2010 I thought it was rather fun, looked great, Ran decently (once I got decent GPU drivers) For the price I got it for was like $15. (of course this was back in 2010.)
Alpha Protocol, wouldn't really call it a bad game, but it wasn't recieved all that well. It had some flaws, and did not like Anti-aliasing forced on it. Also it worked better with a controller. But I really liked the game.
Duke Nukem Forever, the single player was ok, a bit of a letdown. However the multiplayer would of been a decently redeeming quality if it didn't suffer from Lag Galore. (got it for like $5 or $7)
Darksiders, had a few performance issues, and was a bad port, but a decent game. (I am looking forward to it on the WiiU)
C&C4 although it was undoubtedly the worst C&C made, it was ok from a video game point of view. Had a wonderful soundtrack!

I actually have all the games you mentioned (except DNF and C&C) in my wishlist and I wondered if they are worth the shot. So thanks! Maybe you can expand why would you recommend those 3 to try out? Thanks!Sure!
Alpha Protocol, mainly because there isn't much competition or alternatives for a Spy/Espionage RPG.
The story was fun, as it does get shaped by your actions (which the conversations are timed based, meaning you can't take forever making a decision in the conversations.) The gameplay is fun, though flawed, controls and such, graphics are ok, but could be much better. I wen't through stealth, and HAnd to hand as much as possible, which really made the game more fun imo. I think if you can grab it for $5-10, it would be a good deal.
AvP 2010, It had great graphics, even better if you run in DX11. The campaigns are a bit shorter than previous AvP titles. (from what I remember) Though it was still a fun ride. It was really fun playing as all 3 races. Predator because you get some awesome Visions, and weapons. Aliens, because you can go basically anywhere. Humans, because the whole time is one big fear fest lol, Though honestly the aliens weren't the scary part, The spooky part for me was going through an abandoned complex, with the wind and sand flowing around me. All of a sudden I hear the Predator laugh (or do the mimicry) I frantically look around to find him, but alas he is not to be seen, prolly cause he is cloaked. Multiplayer is fun, just not a whole lot of people playing it, and people camp the weapon spawns. But at times the multiplayer was really fun too. I recommend it for $5-7.
Darksiders, well there isn't a whole lot (especially in the pc universe) that is in the same playstyle as this game. It borrows mechanics and core gameplay methods from Legend of Zelda and God of War/maybe even a little from Devil May Cry. It all takes place during "Armageddon" (not to be confused with "Apocalypse" different meaning all together) so it has a decently unique setting. The combat in it is ok, the story is pretty good. I like the exploration of games of this type, which is one reason why we are getting a WiiU. All those awesome Zelda and Mario games. I recommend for $5-7. It is however a good game, but a bad port, so don't expect much in the way of graphical options with this title.
Hope this helps!
Big thanks! Very informative. I will definitively get alpha protocol, it sounds maybe similar to deus ex? (which I loved) The graphics isn't really a problem for me, I care about gameplay more. Judging from what you said, it sounds really great. I loved the old AvP game, and I thought I would get this one, your post and some gameplay video on youtube removed all doubt - I'm getting it. If it's anything like the old one (and from what I heard it is) it's going to be money well spent. I'm still not so sure about Darksiders, I try to avoid ports that have this raw console feel (camera, movement, simplification). Anyway, thanks a lot for the post!
