Batman problems.

So,I installed the game and it is fantastic!,although,I do have 2 problems.

1.How do you save you're games?!I log onto my profile on Windows Live(offline account) and I played the game,and then when I entered the game again,it started from the beginning:?

2.How do you glide?It says "hold space" and jump.I do so and he starts all right and then starts to flap his arms(not in a glitch way)and looses speed,and falls:(.

Please help.
